Banking Consultant – Retail Banking (Townsville, QLD)

About the role

As a Banking Consultant in ANZ’s Retail Banking division, you will deliver a seamless banking experience to customers in Townsville. You will handle transactions, provide personalised financial advice and promote digital solutions, helping customers meet their financial goals.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to a significant uplift in customer engagement and advocacy.
• Participate in bank programmes and initiatives.
• Know your customer from a risk perspective and ensure compliance with ANZ and branch policies.
• Conduct end‑to‑end financial needs conversations and educate customers on available solutions, including digital channels.
• Deliver a high standard of customer service and act as a role model and peer coach.
• Support branch operating hours, including rostered Saturday shifts.

Required profile

• Exceptional customer focus; retail experience is an advantage.
• Willingness to develop lending knowledge and progress within the bank.
• Comfortable using and promoting technology and digital channels.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and coach peers.
• Flexibility to work rostered Saturday shifts.
