Athlete Marketing Specialist

About the role

Red Bull Australia is looking for an Athlete Marketing Specialist to support the delivery and execution of the Australian Athlete Marketing Program in line with business objectives and wider Global Sports direction. The role builds Australia's most innovative athlete programme, working alongside athletes and wider teams to create projects, cultural moments, stories and activations that turn big ideas into reality.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver 360-degree athlete marketing plans with Media Network, Brand, athlete management and wider teams, leading projects and activations within budget
• Manage a selected athlete portfolio, building strong relationships and maximising marketing, communications, performance and consumer impact
• Drive long-term athlete strategy and contribute to annual business planning, including Athlete and National Hero plans and budget planning
• Collaborate with local, HQ and global teams, stay connected to priority sporting scenes and support scouting
• Build Red Bull's relevance in sport, connect international assets with local opportunities and create standout athlete stories and content
• Manage athlete commercial negotiations and agreements with the Head of Athletes and Legal, and own budget forecasting and tracking
• Lead projects from planning to execution, managing stakeholders, rights and compliance, and keep SportsNet reporting up to date

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Sport, Marketing, Business or a related field
• 4+ years' experience in the sports industry, including 3+ years working directly with professional athletes
• 3+ years of people management experience, able to lead individuals and cross-functional teams
• Strong network across the Australian sports industry, including athletes, agents, clubs, federations and media
• Qualified to work in Australia
