Associate Consultant – Linux/Unix Infrastructure

About the role

We are seeking an Associate Consultant to lead Linux/Unix infrastructure operations for a Sydney‑based customer environment. The role involves managing the full lifecycle of servers, ensuring stability, security and performance across physical, virtual and cloud platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Linux/Unix server operations including build, run, patching, monitoring and lifecycle management.
• Own RHEL/Linux and Unix activities such as user/group management, filesystem/LVM, services, package management, kernel/OS patching and performance tuning.
• Coordinate support for physical, virtual and cloud workloads across Windows/Linux/Unix, VMware/ESX, AWS, Azure, GCP and OCI.
• Oversee 24 × 7 monitoring, incident, change, problem, service request, asset/configuration and availability management.
• Drive patch planning, pre‑ and post‑validation and vulnerability remediation.

Required profile

• Strong experience in Linux/Unix server administration.
• Proficiency with RHEL, filesystem management, LVM and kernel patching.
• Familiarity with virtualization (VMware/ESX) and major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI).
• Ability to manage monitoring, incident, change and problem processes in a 24 × 7 environment.
