Assistant Project Manager – Infrastructure Projects

About the role

As an Assistant Project Manager at Aurecon in Adelaide, you will support the delivery of complex infrastructure projects across defence, government, social infrastructure and construction sectors. Working closely with senior project managers and multidisciplinary teams, you will help translate client needs into practical solutions and ensure projects progress on schedule and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing and maintaining design and construction schedules aligned with client expectations.
• Support project delivery from concept through handover, managing scope, risk, financials and reporting.
• Coordinate multiple concurrent projects across the full lifecycle, ensuring clear communication among stakeholders.
• Prepare introductory documentation, reports and presentations for internal and external audiences.

Required profile

• Experience in a junior project management or project coordination role.
• Proven ability to work with diverse stakeholder groups and manage competing priorities.
• Strong written communication skills for documentation, reporting and presentations.
• Proactive, solutions‑focused mindset with a willingness to learn.
• Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience.
• Australian citizenship and eligibility for security clearance as required by the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency.
