Agreements Advisor – Land Access & Negotiations

About the role

Origin is seeking an Agreements Advisor to lead land access negotiations and build trusted relationships with landholders for its integrated gas operations. Based in either Roma or Brisbane, you will work at the heart of commercial delivery, ensuring access agreements are secured safely, sustainably and in compliance with regulatory frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and negotiate land access and commercial agreements with landholders and their legal representatives.
• Provide expert legal advice on property, contract and regulatory matters, including the Petroleum & Gas Act and Land Access Code.
• Develop and influence negotiation strategies to achieve balanced, commercially sound outcomes.
• Identify and resolve complex land access challenges, simplifying processes to improve efficiency.
• Support risk management by ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory obligations.

Required profile

• Law degree with solid experience in land access, property or commercial agreements.
• Proven negotiation and conflict‑management abilities, capable of influencing diverse stakeholders.
• Experience handling complex issues in fast‑paced environments, preferably within the energy or resources sector.
• Strong collaborative mindset and proactive, solutions‑focused approach.

Required skills

• Knowledge of legal frameworks relevant to land access (e.g., Petroleum & Gas Act, Land Access Code).
