Accountant – Project & Finance Reporting

About the role

This position sits between transactional accounting and project reporting, giving you hands‑on exposure to analysis, systems and process improvement within a global, project‑driven business. You will work closely with operational teams to deliver value‑adding financial insights.

Key responsibilities

• End‑to‑end monthly project reporting and revenue tracking
• Support revenue forecasting together with Project Managers
• Maintain work‑in‑progress, backlog and project margin reporting
• Perform balance‑sheet and sub‑ledger reconciliations
• Maintain and support the fixed‑asset register
• Assist with management reporting and Power BI dashboards
• Work across a customised ERP system (Microsoft Business Central)
• Support credit control, invoice queries and retentions
• Help improve systems, reporting and data flow across teams

Required profile

• 2+ years experience in transactional or Assistant Accountant roles
• Strong reconciliation skills and advanced Excel knowledge (lookups, pivots, IF statements)
• Exposure to project accounting or operational businesses is highly regarded
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is desirable
• Familiarity with reporting tools such as Microsoft Power BI is advantageous
