Account Executive – Business Sales

About the role
Shift helps Australian SMEs manage cashflow, streamline trade terms and choose the right financial products. The Account Executive will manage existing customer accounts and generate new revenue streams by promoting the Shift platform to both current and prospective clients.
Key responsibilities
- Own and manage relationships for allocated Shift customers through strategic account management and proactive outreach.
- Work with customers to understand their business needs and demonstrate how Shift solutions can accelerate growth.
- Sell Shift platform solutions to prospective clients using the company’s proven sales approach.
- Conduct ongoing outreach to the allocated portfolio to increase platform utilisation, promotion and retention.
- Provide guidance on service, platform and general queries, and resolve customer issues via email and phone.
- Complete due diligence for new accounts and maintain ongoing management of existing accounts.
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve processes and deliver exceptional customer service.
- Use Salesforce CRM to record and manage customer account information.
Required profile
- Strong interpersonal and relationship‑building abilities.
- Proven sales and pipeline management experience in a professional services setting.
- Excellent communication, active listening and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to multi‑task, manage time effectively and anticipate customer needs.
- Experience in customer support or representative roles.
- Understanding of financial services, particularly lending, is highly regarded.
- Business or finance degree beneficial but not essential.
