Transport Operations Manager

About the role

This senior leadership position oversees LPG and industrial gas distribution across safety, performance, commercial outcomes and customer service. Reporting to senior leadership, you will manage logistics coordination and administration teams while driving a high‑performance, safety‑focused culture.

Key responsibilities

• Champion a strong HSE culture through visible leadership and accountability.
• Lead and manage transport and distribution contractor relationships and commercial agreements.
• Drive operational efficiencies and continuous improvement across distribution operations.
• Oversee fleet suitability, maintenance scheduling and transport performance outcomes.
• Support budgeting, reporting, freight analytics and strategic operational planning.
• Collaborate with Sales and Operations teams to improve service delivery and capture market growth.
• Mentor and develop teams, fostering a high‑performance environment.
• Identify and implement operational technologies and process improvements for future growth.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in transport or logistics management.
• Proven ability to achieve operational objectives and deliver strategic results.
• Well‑organised with capacity to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously.
• Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Supply Chain or Logistics (advantageous).
• Knowledge of Dangerous Goods transport and industry regulations (desirable).
