Traffic Officer

About the role

Join Georgiou – a STRABAG company – as a Traffic Officer on a high‑profile disaster‑recovery project on one of Australia’s most scenic highways. You will work on civil and slope‑stabilisation works across multiple brownfield sites, ensuring safe and efficient traffic flow for the duration of the works.

Key responsibilities

• Administer all traffic management schemes required to facilitate construction activities.
• Coordinate traffic guidance schemes with the site team and subcontractor traffic controllers.
• Manage and maintain roads and traffic documentation in line with quality‑control systems, legislation and company procedures.
• Provide detailed plans for road closures and lane restrictions under the contract.
• Conduct workplace inspections, task hazard reviews, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Notify and engage the community, business owners and road users ahead of any traffic alterations.

Required profile

• Proven experience on Transport Main Roads or major civil construction projects with a focus on traffic management.
• Completion of the Transport and Main Roads approved Traffic Management Design Training Course.
• Strong time‑management abilities and effective communication skills.
