Site Manager – Electrical Projects

About the role

The Site Manager will lead day‑to‑day operations on electrical projects for Current Group in Melbourne. This full‑time, on‑site position ensures work is delivered safely, on schedule, and to the required quality standards while maintaining strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily site activities for electrical projects, coordinating technicians and subcontractors.
• Schedule and sequence on‑site tasks, monitoring progress against project plans.
• Conduct site inspections and enforce compliance with safety regulations and company procedures.
• Resolve on‑site issues promptly and liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
• Manage site documentation and provide regular status updates to project and senior management.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing on‑site operations for electrical, construction or related projects.
• Strong coordination, organisational and leadership abilities.
• Sound knowledge of electrical or building services practices and safety standards; relevant licensing or trade qualification is highly regarded.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel between sites in Melbourne and surrounding areas.
• Relevant tertiary, trade or industry qualifications (e.g., electrical trade certificate, diploma in project or construction management) are an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with digital tools for scheduling, reporting and site documentation.
• Familiarity with project management software.
• Ability to interpret plans and specifications and identify risks early.
