Service Technician – Wind Turbine Maintenance

About the role

Vestas is seeking Service Technicians to keep wind turbines operating safely and efficiently across regional Australia. You will apply your electrical, mechanical and hydraulic expertise while supporting the transition to renewable energy.

Key responsibilities

• Perform periodic service inspections and replace or troubleshoot electrical, mechanical and hydraulic components according to Vestas specifications.
• Maintain turbine operation through condition monitoring, remote control systems and on‑site troubleshooting.
• Manage service vehicle inventory, ordering tools, materials and spare parts as needed.
• Assemble and service components using internal or external cranes, following current standards and work instructions.
• Adhere to the highest safety and environmental standards while meeting service targets.

Required profile

• Trade qualification in electrical, mechanical or hydraulic disciplines.
• Strong computer literacy for work documentation and system monitoring.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills.
• Valid driver’s licence and ability to travel to multiple regional sites.
• Physical ability to climb turbines and work in varied weather conditions.
