Senior Structural Engineer (NSQEP)

About the role

As a Senior Structural Engineer (NSQEP) you will deliver complex structural and seismic designs for defence, research and nuclear facilities. Based in Adelaide, you will work within a multidisciplinary team to provide safe, technically robust solutions in highly regulated environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design and analyse complex seismic structures for safety‑critical facilities.
• Prepare technical calculations, reports and design documentation meeting project requirements.
• Collaborate with clients, stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated engineering solutions.
• Support nuclear safety cases, regulatory submissions and ensure compliance with Australian and international standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering with nuclear defence/NSQEP experience.
• 6+ years of structural engineering experience, preferably on complex or safety‑critical projects.
• Experience in defence, research, nuclear or other highly regulated sectors is desirable.
• Progress towards Chartered status or equivalent professional accreditation.
• Australian citizenship or suitable AUKUS clearance.

Required skills

• Proficiency with structural engineering software such as ETABS, SpaceGass, RAPT and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) packages.
• Strong knowledge of Australian and international structural, seismic and nuclear design standards.
