Senior Site Manager – Short‑Term Contract

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Site Manager to lead on‑site operations for high‑profile construction and defects phases on a short‑term contract in Brisbane. This hands‑on leader will own site delivery from day one, ensuring safety, quality and schedule compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage all site activities across construction and defect phases.
• Drive site safety in line with WHS legislation and company policies.
• Oversee environmental compliance and maintain site standards.
• Ensure project programmes and key milestones are met.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and a workforce of 100+ workers.
• Chair site meetings, produce reports, minutes and stakeholder updates.
• Identify and resolve buildability issues with project teams.
• Contribute to programme development, tendering and value‑engineering.
• Manage industrial relations and engage with unions as required.
• Track, manage and close out defects while maintaining accurate documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Site Manager delivering construction projects end‑to‑end, including build and defects phases.
• Ability to manage large‑scale site operations and teams of 100+ workers.
• Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, environmental compliance and QBCC Site Supervisor Licence (essential).
• Demonstrated leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
