Senior Project Manager - IT Consultancy

About the role

A Senior Project Manager is needed for a 12-month fixed-term engagement to join an IT consultancy in Melbourne. The role drives end-to-end delivery of complex product solutions covering software development, system integration and hardware device deployment, working within a dynamic transformation environment. You will manage multiple concurrent workstreams, mentor and lead other Project Managers, and act as a trusted advisor to internal and external stakeholders, working closely with the Business Delivery Director.

Key responsibilities

• Direct multiple project streams and lead a team of Project Managers, fostering collaboration and alignment across workstreams.
• Lead projects involving diverse internal and external stakeholders; act as a subject matter expert in governance forums and give regular status reports and briefings to senior leadership.
• Develop project documentation including the project charter, integrated project plan, resource plan, contingency plan and milestones, ensuring compliance with internal standards.
• Assess and resolve high-priority project risks, weighing impact, complexity, cost, urgency and stakeholder value.
• Ensure projects meet the success parameters, targets and objectives set out in the business case.

Required profile

• Highly experienced Senior Project Manager who has delivered product-based customer solutions including software, hardware and integration.
• Experience leading multiple workstreams across large and complex programs, including other Project Managers.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
