Senior Project Coordinator

About the role

DCOH is seeking a Senior Project Coordinator to join its Darwin team. You will support the delivery of complex construction packages from design through to handover, ensuring buildability, programme certainty and quality on site.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate design queries, RFIs, drawing reviews and maintain accurate registers.
• Identify and escalate design risks, non‑conformances and opportunities.
• Monitor progress of design, procurement and construction against programme milestones.
• Support on‑site installation works, including set‑out, sequencing and accurate documentation.
• Liaise with subcontractors to ensure compliance with contract scope, specifications and schedule.
• Prepare scopes of work, subcontract packages and assist with tender assessments.
• Track procurement lead times and material delivery to protect programme outcomes.
• Monitor subcontractor performance, flagging risks, delays or quality issues.
• Assist with implementation of DCOH HSEQ systems and WHS obligations.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• 4+ years’ experience in project coordination or site engineering within construction.
• Strong understanding of construction methodology, sequencing and buildability.
• Proficient at reading and interpreting drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of Australian Standards, NCC/BCA and relevant authority requirements.
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and documentation skills.
• Effective communicator able to build relationships with consultants, subcontractors and site teams.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, site‑based environment managing competing priorities.
