Senior Housekeeper – Aged Care

About the role

Auburn House, an aged care provider and specialist mental health unit with 30 private rooms, is hiring two Senior Housekeepers in Hawthorn East. One position is permanent and part-time (4 days per week); the other is fixed term until June 2027 and part-time (3 days per week). Under the guidance of the facility manager, you will lead and support the housekeeping team that delivers customer-focused support services for residents.

Key responsibilities

• Meal preparation and distribution, resident room and facility cleaning, and provision of the resident laundry service
• Assist with rostering and stock management, including ordering and rotation
• Monitor cleaning and food safety compliance, documentation and auditing processes
• Support resident choice and flexibility in meal and beverage preferences and service delivery in a clean and safe home

Required profile

• Food Safety Level 1 (HLTFSE001)
• Food Safety Supervisor qualification
• Experience with food handling and cleaning
• Well-developed communication skills
• Current National criminal history check, or willingness to obtain one; or current NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain one
