Senior Full‑Stack Software Developer

About the role

Caterpillar’s MineStar division is modernising mining operations with automation, analytics and AI. As a Senior Software Developer you will design, build and deliver scalable cloud‑native applications that improve safety and efficiency for mining customers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain digital applications and services using AWS, Python and React.
• Build robust backend APIs and services, and responsive front‑end user experiences.
• Contribute to solution architecture, technical design and technology decisions across the product portfolio.
• Integrate applications with MineStar, enterprise platforms and external systems.
• Apply strong engineering practices for code quality, testing, security, performance and observability.
• Mentor other developers and support continuous improvement of development standards.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Significant experience delivering production applications in complex enterprise environments.
• Proven ability to work with product owners, architects, UX specialists and distributed engineering teams.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to translate complex requirements into scalable solutions.
