Senior Content Writer – Real Estate & SEO

About the role

OpenLot is a consumer‑led property platform seeking a senior content writer to produce in‑depth, research‑led real estate content that drives organic traffic and supports buyer decisions across Australia.

Key responsibilities

• Research, write and optimise suburb profiles, development reviews, market reports, buyer guides and PR releases.
• Use Ahrefs and other SEO tools for keyword research, competitor analysis and content gap identification.
• Structure content around search intent and SEO opportunity, and improve existing articles for better performance.
• Transform video interviews and internal insights into polished written pieces.

Required profile

• Strong experience writing for real estate portals, property marketplaces or similar high‑intent consumer platforms.
• Excellent English writing skills for Australian audiences and a proven ability to produce long‑form, research‑driven SEO content.
• Hands‑on experience with Ahrefs or comparable SEO tools and a solid understanding of keyword research and on‑page optimisation.
• Bachelor’s degree required; prior experience in real‑estate portals preferred.
