Senior Consultant | Sustainability (Sydney)

About the role

ADP Consulting, a national engineering consultancy founded in 2011 and now joined by Ayesa, is looking for a Senior Sustainability Consultant for its Sydney team. The role is technical and delivery-focused, leading complex sustainability projects, guiding clients toward best-practice environmental outcomes and mentoring a team.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to sustainability assessments, environmental modelling and certification frameworks across diverse project types.
• Apply expertise in thermal comfort, energy modelling, climate resilience, whole-of-life carbon and precinct sustainability strategies.
• Work with clients, architects, engineers and developers to embed sustainability from concept through to construction.
• Mentor and guide junior and mid-level consultants.
• Support proposal development and client-facing work, and contribute to thought leadership and industry initiatives.

Required profile

• 4 to 6 years in sustainability consulting, ESD, building physics or a related field.
• Experience mentoring junior team members and sharing technical knowledge.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to think beyond compliance and turn sustainability ideas into practical, design-led outcomes.

Required skills

• Solid working knowledge of building performance modelling and certification frameworks such as NABERS, Green Star and WELL.
• Precinct-scale sustainability experience is advantageous.
