Senior Consultant – Data & Analytics

About the role

Datacom is seeking a Senior Consultant to lead the technical delivery of large‑scale data platform and BI solutions. You will design, implement and own robust Data Platform and Insight solutions while working closely with client stakeholders and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Identify consulting opportunities and elicit stakeholder requirements through workshops.
• Contribute to technical architecture, design and delivery of modern data and insight platforms.
• Provide thought leadership on data management and integration.
• Design data models (relational and dimensional) across various domains.
• Develop AI‑driven solutions for data migration, modelling and warehouse migrations.
• Perform performance tuning and optimisation of data platforms.
• Manage development life cycles using source‑code management and AI modernisation tools.
• Create self‑service Power BI solutions and deliver training and documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years delivering data warehousing, data platform or BI solutions.
• 5+ years developing semantic data models and reporting solutions.
• Proven ability to consult and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business or related field.

Required skills

• Enterprise Data Warehouse design and modernisation.
• Data modelling (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema).
• Cloud platforms: Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Platform, Databricks.
• SQL and Python development.
• Power BI (semantic modelling, Power Query, DAX).
• CI/CD pipelines, Git source control, deployment automation.
• Performance optimisation, governance, scalability, cost management.
• Cloud services: Microsoft Azure, AWS.
