Security SOC Analyst (Remote)

About the role

Employment Hero is looking for a Security SOC Analyst to join its global security team. Working remotely, you will be the front‑line defender for a community of over 2 million users and help secure the platform as it scales toward 10 million users.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 “Follow the Sun” coverage by coordinating between Australian and Canadian teams.
• Monitor SIEM alerts, triage incidents, and respond to security events in real time.
• Resolve internal security tickets and troubleshoot tools such as Netskope, Crowdstrike, and Abnormal Security.
• Collaborate with the AI Analyst to improve automated triage accuracy.
• Configure Google Workspace (IDP/SSO/Conditional Access) and manage MDM solutions like Intune, Jamf, and Kandji.
• Monitor dark‑web mentions, compromised credentials, and conduct vulnerability scans with remediation guidance.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in a SOC, NOC, or technical help‑desk environment.
• Self‑starter attitude with a passion for continuous learning and hands‑on experimentation.
• Strong operational mindset and a drive for high performance.

Required skills

• SIEM monitoring and incident response.
• EDR platforms (e.g., Crowdstrike).
• Network security tools such as Netskope.
• Abnormal Security or similar email security solutions.
• Google Workspace administration (IDP/SSO/Conditional Access).
• MDM management (Intune, Jamf, Kandji).
• Threat intelligence gathering and dark‑web monitoring.
• Vulnerability scanning and remediation guidance.
