SAP ABAP/Fiori Developer

About the role

A premier tier-one digital transformation consultancy is expanding its core SAP delivery team across Australia and is looking for an ambitious mid-level SAP developer to join a high-impact team supporting major enterprise and federal systems. You will work alongside senior enterprise architects and technical leads to build, modernise and deploy next-generation SAP solutions, with a focus on S/4HANA, CDS views and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).

Key responsibilities

• Custom development of ABAP applications, object-oriented code, enhancements, CDS views and responsive SAPUI5/Fiori screens.
• Develop and maintain OData services, REST APIs, BAPIs and interface structures.
• Perform code reviews, unit testing and technical documentation, and optimise legacy code for HANA performance.
• Partner with functional consultants and business analysts to turn functional requirements into efficient technical logic.

Required profile

• 4 years of hands-on SAP technical development experience (ABAP and Fiori/UI5).
• Active AGSVA NV1 security clearance, which is strictly required due to site security requirements.
• Clear verbal and written communication, able to explain technical trade-offs to non-technical colleagues.

Required skills

• OO ABAP, modular development, OData service generation and UI design patterns.
• SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, SAP HANA, SAPUI5 and SAP Fiori.
• OData, SAP Business Application Studio / Web IDE, ABAP Development Tools (ADT) and NetWeaver Gateway.
