About the role

Sony Pictures Television’s ANZ team is looking for a Sales & Marketing Intern to support its Television and Home Entertainment Distribution sales and marketing activities across Australia and New Zealand. The 6‑month full‑time placement starts in July 2026 and is based in the Sydney office, reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager ANZ and the Sales Manager for ANZ.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the development and management of marketing plans, brief media, publicity and promotional agencies, and coordinate creative materials.
  • Assist the marketing team with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube), maintaining the content calendar, creating content, tracking performance and providing insights.
  • Support client screenings and events in Sydney and Auckland, handling invitations, venue sourcing, design coordination, RSVPs and logistics.
  • Update the company website and YouTube channel with the latest titles and assets, ensuring alignment with campaigns.
  • Manage the client asset hub and distribute marketing materials via e‑blasts.
  • Maintain digital contact databases and media lists for campaign outreach, including invitations to screenings and press kit distribution.
  • Coordinate allocation of in‑season passes and merchandise, including online competitions, influencer send‑outs and desk drops.
  • Raise and log marketing purchase orders and process vendor invoices for timely payment.

Required profile

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and financial knowledge.
  • Genuine passion for both marketing and sales.
  • Conscientious team player willing to contribute and learn.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

  • Proficiency with Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.
  • Experience managing content calendars and social media performance metrics.
  • Competence in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for reporting.
  • Familiarity with website and YouTube channel updates.
  • Ability to create and distribute e‑blasts and marketing assets.
