Registered Nurse – Part‑Time, Melbourne

About the role

Join Lifeblood as a Registered Nurse on a permanent part‑time basis, working within a supportive donor centre environment in Melbourne. You will play a vital role in ensuring safe, efficient blood donations while delivering an exceptional experience for our generous donors.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and interview potential donors to assess eligibility.
• Provide clinical oversight and guide team members during blood collection.
• Perform routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests.
• Set up and operate collection equipment, inserting and removing needles safely to collect whole blood, plasma, and platelets.
• Manage adverse donor reactions, offering instructions and physical assistance.
• Monitor donors post‑donation and assist with re‑booking appointments.

Required profile

• Completed Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent) and current AHPRA registration.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and ability to work varied shifts on a rotating fortnightly roster, including weekends.
• Physical ability to lift 9‑22.7 kg occasionally and to stand, walk, and bend for set‑up and pack‑down tasks.
