Recruitment Lead – Commercially Driven

About the role

Workcon is looking for a commercially‑driven Recruitment Lead to own the end‑to‑end recruitment function. This hands‑on leadership position will shape talent attraction strategies, build high‑performing teams and drive hiring outcomes for high‑volume blue‑collar roles.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor and develop a team of recruiters.
  • Manage full‑cycle recruitment for high‑volume blue‑collar positions.
  • Apply sales and marketing techniques to promote roles across social media, local communities and other channels.
  • Design creative sourcing strategies to engage both active and passive talent.
  • Build and maintain strong talent pipelines for current and future workforce needs.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to understand hiring demand and support employer branding.
  • Oversee onboarding, compliance and recruitment administration.
  • Monitor recruitment performance, reporting, candidate conversion and process improvement.

Required profile

  • Proven experience leading a recruitment team in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong end‑to‑end recruitment background, preferably in high‑volume blue‑collar or labour‑hire roles.
  • Sales‑focused mindset with ability to market roles and engage candidates.
  • Creative thinker capable of launching innovative attraction campaigns.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and leadership skills.
  • Confidence networking with industry contacts, community partners and external talent sources.

Required skills

  • Experience with recruitment systems and reporting/analytics tools.
  • Knowledge of recruitment compliance, employment obligations and WHS requirements.
