About the role
The Quality and Training Coordinator supports the Inpatient Services Unit at the Royal Hobart Hospital by overseeing training, onboarding, and quality assurance for clerical staff. This position plays a key part in maintaining high service standards, improving data accuracy, and ensuring smooth patient flow across the hospital.
Key responsibilities
- Support day‑to‑day quality control activities and ensure service delivery standards are consistently met.
- Design and deliver training, education, and onboarding programmes aligned with policies, procedures, and business processes.
- Provide expert advice on data collection, documentation processes, and quality requirements.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews to identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
- Prepare reports and contribute to service‑improvement initiatives that enhance patient flow and administrative efficiency.
- Assist with change‑management activities and implement process improvements.
- Collaborate with clinical, non‑clinical, management, and finance stakeholders.
Required profile
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships across diverse teams.
- Self‑motivated and able to work both independently and collaboratively, managing competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Commitment to staff development and the ability to deliver clear, practical guidance.
- High attention to detail and strong analytical abilities, especially regarding data accuracy and documentation.
