Project Manager – Water Utilities GIS Projects

About the role

The Project Manager will lead the end‑to‑end delivery of water‑related projects that rely on GIS technology. You will ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet all regulatory and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables and create integrated schedules, milestones and resource plans.
• Act as the primary interface with clients, business stakeholders and regulators, providing status reports and steering updates.
• Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts and cost controls, tracking financial performance and profitability.
• Lead design validation, construction, testing and commissioning phases while managing contractors and vendors.
• Identify risks, implement mitigation strategies and ensure compliance with utility regulations, environmental and safety standards.
• Provide leadership to multiple cross‑functional teams, resolve conflicts and mentor team members.

Required profile

• Strong domain knowledge of water utilities (distribution, wastewater, asset management) and related regulatory frameworks.
• Proven project‑management expertise with experience delivering large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder‑management and leadership abilities.
• Ability to coordinate distributed teams and manage vendor relationships.

• SCADA systems for real‑time monitoring.
