Programme Director – Senior IT Programme Leadership

About the role

Datacom is seeking a senior leader to own a complex, high‑value enterprise programme. Reporting directly to senior leaders, you will set vision, drive delivery and ensure outcomes at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Define programme goals, roadmaps and align them with organisational objectives.
• Lead programme planning, governance and delivery across multiple workstreams.
• Manage multi‑platform technical delivery, budgets, schedules, risks and resources.
• Oversee stakeholder engagement, change management and business benefit realisation.
• Mentor Programme Managers and support pre‑sales, bid development and future strategy.

Required profile

• 15+ years’ experience in programme management within dynamic IT service environments.
• 10+ years managing large‑scale programmes using Agile and Waterfall.
• Proven ability to lead multi‑vendor, multi‑dependency programmes with commercial and governance oversight.
• Strong risk, financial and contractual governance skills.
• Excellent communication and executive‑level influencing abilities.

Required skills

• Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• PRINCE2, PMI, MSP, PgMP, PMP certifications.
• Agile certifications such as PSM1, CSM, SAFe.
• Project and programme management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Azure DevOps).
