Procurement Officer

About the role

Join the National Fire Ant Eradication Program in Queensland as a Procurement Officer. You will support the mission to eliminate invasive fire ants by managing procurement activities that align with government priorities and ensure compliance with the Queensland Procurement Policy.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute procurement activities, develop sourcing documentation, and manage evaluation processes for routine and strategic contracts.
• Provide high‑level advisory services to internal clients, develop agreements across whole‑of‑government category groups, and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
• Maintain detailed records of procurement processes, decisions and contracts, ensuring adherence to probity, accountability and audit requirements.
