About the role

QLeave, a Queensland statutory authority managing portable long‑service‑leave schemes, is looking for a seasoned Procurement Manager. You will lead the procurement and contract‑management function, ensuring compliance with the Queensland Procurement Policy while driving strategic outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and continuously improve QLeave’s procurement policies and procedures in line with QPP 2026 principles.
• Provide strategic advice to senior leadership on risk, market engagement and procurement strategy.
• Lead initiatives to boost organisational procurement capability through training, tools and resources.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and position procurement as a strategic enabler.
• Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, acting as a trusted business partner.
• Oversee contract management activities to ensure effective delivery and alignment with organisational objectives.
• Manage the end‑to‑end procurement process, ensuring policy compliance and performance transparency.
• Lead, develop and mentor a high‑performing procurement team.
• Represent QLeave in external forums to promote best‑practice procurement.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in procurement within a public‑sector or statutory‑authority environment.
• Proven leadership and team‑development capabilities.
• Strong strategic thinking and advisory skills for senior executives.
• Excellent stakeholder‑engagement and communication abilities.
• Commitment to governance, accountability and continuous improvement.
