Process Automation Manager

About the role

An established Australian property investment and funds management organisation is recruiting a Process Automation Manager. You will lead business process discovery, process redesign and requirements definition to support automation initiatives across the organisation. The role suits an experienced Business Analyst or Process Improvement specialist who can turn complex business needs into practical process designs and clear requirements for technical teams. It is based in Sydney on a hybrid basis, with four days in the office, and is permanent.

Key responsibilities

• Lead stakeholder workshops to understand business challenges, current processes and improvement opportunities.
• Map current-state processes and design optimised future-state workflows.
• Identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve controls and enable automation.
• Develop process maps, business requirements, user stories and supporting documentation.
• Work with engineering and development teams so solutions are feasible and scalable.
• Manage stakeholder alignment, design approvals and requirements sign-off.
• Assess risks, dependencies and business value to support project prioritisation.
• Define acceptance criteria and measures to evaluate implemented solutions.
• Contribute to the automation strategy and roadmap, and support adoption through training and change documentation.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in business or technology.
• At least 8 years of experience in process analysis, business analysis or technical consulting.
• Proven ability to facilitate workshops and communicate with technical and business stakeholders.
• Experience in property investment, funds management, change management or enterprise platforms is advantageous.

Required skills

• Low-code automation platforms such as Workato, Boomi, Pega or Power Platform.
• Visio or Lucidchart for process modelling.
• Azure DevOps for requirements and user stories.
• Strong Microsoft 365 skills and working knowledge of Agile delivery.
• Strong analytical, documentation and problem-solving skills.
