Part-Time Payroll Specialist

About the role

BlueRock Accounting is looking for a Payroll Specialist to join its growing public practice team in Melbourne. The role is permanent and part-time, three days a week, and involves supporting the firm's employees with payroll. It is an on-site position.

Key responsibilities

• Complete end-to-end payroll, including superannuation and other payroll administration.
• Help the payroll team deliver accurate, timely results while driving process improvements and building a positive team culture.
• Liaise with clients with the support of the wider accounting team.
• Keep payroll processes efficient and compliant, and work daily with the payroll system Employment Hero.

Required profile

• Permanent working rights in Australia; this is a permanent ongoing role.
• Experience with some payroll systems such as Employment Hero, Tanda or QuickBooks is heavily preferred.
• Basic to intermediate IT and Microsoft Suite skills.
• Some experience with Awards is ideal but not required.
• Payroll courses or certifications are a bonus; university-accredited courses are not required.
