Node.js Developer

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Node.js Developer to join our team and build scalable backend services. The role involves designing high‑performance APIs, collaborating with cross‑functional teams, and working in an Agile environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain server‑side logic using Node.js and related frameworks.
• Design, build, and optimise RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
• Integrate front‑end components with server‑side logic.
• Work with databases such as MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, and Redis.
• Implement security best practices and data‑protection measures.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams for deployment and scalability.
• Operate within an Agile/Scrum development process.

Required profile

• Strong proficiency in Node.js, JavaScript, and ES6+ concepts.
• Experience with Node frameworks such as Express.js; NestJS or Koa.js is a plus.
• Solid understanding of asynchronous programming and event‑driven architecture.
• Hands‑on experience with both NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB, Redis) and SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL) databases.
• Proven experience building REST APIs, microservices, and implementing API authentication (JWT/OAuth2).
• Familiarity with Git version control and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Experience with Docker, containerisation, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
