National Account Manager - Hardware Channel

About the role

A home improvement brand with a century of heritage and brands found in almost every Australian home is looking for a commercially sharp National Account Manager to own and grow its key construction accounts nationally, such as Mitre 10. You will be the main contact for major builders, trade distributors and construction partners, building strategic partnerships that deliver long-term growth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow a portfolio of national construction and trade accounts, owning revenue, margin and volume targets
• Build and deliver joint business plans, trading terms and account strategies
• Develop relationships with site and procurement teams as well as senior decision-makers
• Find new business with builders, developers and commercial construction partners
• Work with Marketing, Supply Chain, Technical and Category teams on innovation, specification wins and customer programs
• Lead commercial negotiations, pricing and promotional investment
• Use market and customer insights to spot trends, competitor activity and growth opportunities

Required profile

• Proven key or national account management experience in construction, building products, trade or a related B2B channel
• Strong track record of growing revenue and margin with major customers
• Tertiary qualification in Business, Sales, Marketing or similar is highly regarded
