Manager – Deal Tax Advisory (Real Estate focus)

About the role

KPMG’s Deal Advisory Tax team is seeking a Manager with a strong interest in real‑estate transactions. You will work across a national practice on high‑profile deals, supporting corporate clients in structuring, compliance and tax due diligence.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement inbound investment structures, focusing on trusts and Managed Investment Trusts (MITs).
• Conduct tax due diligence and review transaction documentation.
• Assist clients with tax compliance, including preparation and review of trust and company tax returns.
• Research and analyse complex technical tax issues.
• Manage ATO and FIRB correspondence related to transactions.
• Support business‑development initiatives and prepare proposals.
• Mentor, develop and lead junior team members.

Required profile

• Qualified tax professional with transactional experience.
• Proven commitment to client service and ability to build strong relationships.
• Strong tax technical expertise.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and supervise/mentor team members.
