Logistics & Transport Specialist

About the role

The Logistics & Transport Specialist combines stable warehouse operations with long‑haul road trips across Australia. Based in Alice Springs you will support material receipt, storage and distribution, then join a two‑driver team to operate a brand‑new heavy combination truck on interstate runs.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, store, pick, pack and dispatch freight while maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Load and unload trucks safely using forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
• Conduct regular stock takes, cycle counts and maintain a clean, organised warehouse.
• Complete scheduled long‑haul transport runs, drive a manual heavy combination truck, and perform daily vehicle inspections.
• Secure loads, complete driver logbooks and adhere to fatigue‑management and safety requirements.

Required profile

• Australian or US citizen, at least 18 years old.
• Minimum 6 months experience in logistics/warehouse or supply‑chain functions.
• For US candidates: at least 2 years operating a vehicle with a Class A CDL.
• Ability to work in remote, temperature‑controlled warehouses and endure extended road trips in varied weather.

Required skills

• Heavy Combination (HC) truck licence (Australia) or Class A CDL (US).
• Ability to drive a manual transmission prime mover.
• Forklift operation (licence or willingness to obtain).
• Basic computer skills (MS Office, email and record‑keeping).
