Litigation Lawyer (1-4 PQE)

About the role

A premium Australian commercial law firm with offices in Melbourne and Sydney is looking for a litigation lawyer with 1 to 4 years of post-qualification experience. The role sits within the Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice, led by partner Leon Zwier and five other Melbourne partners, and offers hands-on experience across all stages of litigation.

Key responsibilities

• Work closely with litigation partners and directly with clients on complex, challenging and high-profile commercial disputes.
• Contribute to strategic advice and the conduct of significant matters.
• Gain hands-on experience across all stages of litigation.

Required profile

• Proven experience and knowledge of commercial litigation disputes as a lawyer gained in private practice in Australia or an overseas jurisdiction.
• Ability to identify key issues in a legal matter.
• Superior analytical, research, communication and drafting skills.
• Commitment to excellence, sound judgement and a proactive, innovative and outcome-focused approach.
• Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
