Licensing Officer

About the role

The Licensing Officer provides essential administrative and operational support for the assessment and processing of pharmacy business licence applications. Working in a start‑up regulatory environment, you will help ensure the safe and competent delivery of pharmacy services across Queensland.

Key responsibilities

• Process and assess licence applications for pharmacy businesses in line with legislation, policies and delegations.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for each application.
• Provide guidance to applicants on licensing requirements and procedures.
• Collaborate with the operational team to continuously improve licensing processes.
• Ensure compliance with public sector integrity and disclosure obligations.

Required profile

• Relevant experience or qualification in pharmacy, law, regulation, licensing or investigation (preferred but not mandatory).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small, collaborative team.
• Willingness to undergo criminal history and disciplinary checks as required by the Public Sector Act.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality.
