Junior Digital Designer

About the role

GP Advertising, one of Australia's largest in-house retail ad agencies, is hiring a Junior Digital Designer for its Digital Design team based in Homebush West. The role involves producing creative assets promptly and efficiently, with a keen eye for detail, in response to briefs. The agency works with well-known brands such as Harvey Norman, Domayne and Joyce Mayne.

Key responsibilities

• Create mobile-first designs across multiple websites and supporting digital channels and platforms, such as eDM, Facebook and Instagram, and HTML5 display ads.
• Perform quality assurance, testing and troubleshooting of digital creative.
• Research and apply the latest trends and best practices in web and multimedia design.
• Carry out competitor analysis and campaign research.

Required profile

• A strong grasp of the digital landscape and a passion for both the creative and technical sides of digital campaigns.
• Ideally a relevant degree in Digital Design or equivalent industry experience.
• A compelling portfolio covering ad unit executions to full site developments.
• Right to work in Australia; recruitment agencies are not used.

Required skills

• Adobe CC Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver.
• XHTML, HTML5 and CSS.
• JavaScript (including W3C standards) is beneficial.
