About the role
DKSH is seeking an Inventory Controller to manage inventory operations across all Business Units in Australia. The role ensures optimal stock levels, accuracy, and availability while supporting service‑level targets and operational efficiency.
Key responsibilities
- Deploy inventory strategy across Australia and by Business Unit.
- Align processes with stakeholders to drive operational excellence.
- Maintain accurate inventory records across self‑managed and third‑party distribution centres.
- Oversee regular stock counts, reconcile discrepancies and conduct annual physical inventories.
- Investigate variances, implement corrective actions and monitor 3PL/4PL outbound errors.
- Generate reports on stock levels, aging inventory and consumption trends.
- Track KPIs such as stock accuracy, shrinkage, turnover and stock‑outs.
- Maintain and update SAP and WMS inventory systems.
- Support implementation of best‑practice inventory control procedures.
- Collaborate with logistics, distribution and production teams to ensure inventory integrity.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Business Administration.
- 2–5 years of experience in inventory control, distribution or supply‑chain roles.
- Experience managing inventory across a national multi‑site network.
- Strong analytical, detail‑oriented and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with SAP.
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
