Implementation Engineer

About the role

As an Implementation Engineer at Adyen, you will partner with fast‑growing and enterprise merchants to design, integrate, and scale their use of Adyen’s payment platform. You will act as the primary technical partner, guiding architecture and integration decisions from pre‑sales through go‑live.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver end‑to‑end implementation projects from solution design through to launch.
• Design and help merchants build high‑performance, API‑based integrations for complex systems.
• Partner with Sales during pre‑sales to shape solutions and assess feasibility.
• Align Product, Engineering, Sales, and Project Management to drive optimal outcomes.
• Guide merchants through technical design, testing, and production readiness.
• Share best practices to improve delivery quality and elevate team knowledge.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in technical consulting, integrations, or software engineering.
• Deep understanding of APIs and experience across frontend and backend systems.
• Strong communicator able to lead technical discussions with both technical and business stakeholders.
• Proactive, pragmatic builder who can navigate ambiguous environments and see projects through to completion.
