Health & Safety Advisor - Desalination Plant

About the role

ACCIONA is recruiting a Health & Safety Advisor for the Eyre Peninsula Desalination Plant, a major water security project in regional South Australia. The role reports to the Safety Manager and puts you on site with a visible presence across the plant, helping to shape safety on the project.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and help implement the health and safety systems on the plant
• Identify and assess hazards and high-risk activities, and implement controls
• Investigate incidents and injuries, and support case and care management
• Coach managers, workers, subcontractors and suppliers to meet safety and environmental requirements
• Lead pre-start meetings and develop the safety material
• Help implement the Safety Management System across the project
• Advise management on incident prevention, incident management and occupational health

Required profile

• Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety, or similar
• Experience in a similar role, preferably in a similar industry
• Demonstrated extensive experience in safety and compliance
• Proven knowledge of a risk and incident system
• Experience leading risk assessments
