Group Chief Financial Officer

About the role

A well-established, privately held Australian industrial group with annual turnover of about $50 million is looking for a Group Chief Financial Officer. The appointment is highly confidential and sits within a stable organisation entering its next stage of leadership and development. Reporting directly to the Board, the CFO provides financial, commercial and governance leadership across the Group.

Key responsibilities

• Strengthen reporting, forecasting and risk management across the Group
• Build systems and organisational capability
• Work closely with the leaders of each operating business
• Balance Group governance with operational accountability

Required profile

• CA or CPA qualification
• Senior finance leadership experience
• Strong manufacturing or industrial commerciality
• Board-level credibility
• Experience in a privately held, multi-entity or comparable industrial environment is highly regarded
• Ability to move comfortably between the Boardroom and the operating environment

The successful candidate will be pragmatic, commercially astute and hands-on, with strong financial and management accounting capability, clear communication, sound governance instincts and the confidence to influence across multiple businesses.
