Fresh Service Manager – Retail Department Lead

About the role

The Fresh Service Manager leads the Fresh department in a Woolworths supermarket, ensuring high standards of quality, hygiene and product availability for customers throughout the day. You will be part of an inclusive team environment and will receive support through the Store Leadership Pathway to develop your retail career.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Fresh department, maintaining consistent product quality and availability.
• Lead, coach and motivate a flexible, high‑performing team to deliver an excellent shopping experience.
• Ensure all safety and hygiene processes are followed, prioritising the wellbeing of customers and staff.
• Collaborate with store leadership and other departments to create a seamless overall store experience.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and drive initiatives that enhance department performance.

Required profile

• Strong desire to lead a retail department and support team members on a day‑to‑day basis.
• Ability to engage customers using Everyday ACTs – Acknowledge, Care & Thank.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to store processes.
• Collaborative mindset with a willingness to learn and grow as a future leader.
• Flexibility to work varied store hours, including early mornings and evenings.
