Facilities Shift Operator – 24/7 Site Infrastructure

About the role

The Facilities Shift Operator ensures safe, reliable and effective operation of site infrastructure, utilities and equipment on a 24/7 basis. Working on a rotating shift roster, you will monitor, control and maintain critical power, generation, cooling and hydraulic systems while responding to emergencies.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain facility infrastructure, systems and equipment, including day‑to‑day operation and scheduled maintenance.
• Coordinate configuration changes, utility transfers and switching procedures in line with operational requirements.
• Staff and operate the Facility Control Centre, tracking real‑time impairment status and resource location.
• Respond rapidly to abnormal situations and emergencies, performing equipment repairs as needed.
• Develop, review and execute preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance tasks.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in site facilities operations and maintenance.
• Completion of relevant system and role‑based training, with a strong understanding of Work Health Safety (WHS) and EHS policies.
• Ability to work 12‑hour rotating shifts (3 nights, 1 day off, 3 days, 5 days off).
• Security clearance requirement: initial NV1 with intent to obtain Top‑Secret/TS‑SCI clearance.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SCADA systems.
• Experience using SAP.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office applications.
• Relevant trade certification (Certificate III in Electrical, Plumbing, Refrigeration or Mechanical).
