Facilities Maintenance & Procurement Manager (Part‑time)

About the role

Bene Aged Care is seeking an experienced Facilities Maintenance & Procurement Manager to provide strategic leadership across its residential aged‑care homes, retirement living and community services. Reporting to the COO, this part‑time role blends maintenance oversight with asset management, procurement and compliance responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead preventative, reactive and emergency maintenance services across multiple sites.
• Develop and implement maintenance programmes that meet safety, compliance and quality standards.
• Coordinate building repairs, refurbishments and minor capital works projects.
• Conduct regular site inspections and identify improvement opportunities.
• Support audit, accreditation and regulatory readiness.
• Contribute to long‑term asset management and capital replacement planning.
• Develop and improve procurement processes, supplier governance and purchasing controls.
• Negotiate and manage supplier and contractor agreements, monitoring performance for value and compliance.

Required profile

• Significant experience in facilities maintenance, asset management and procurement within a regulated environment.
• Strong knowledge of aged‑care legislation, WHS, fire safety and building regulations.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage multiple contractors.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
