Experienced Drainage Engineer – Rail & Metro

About the role

Join SMEC’s Rail team in Brisbane as an Experienced Drainage Engineer, focusing on rail and metro infrastructure. You will provide technical drainage design, coordination and delivery for major projects across Australia.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with team members, contributors and stakeholders to ensure quality, timely and coordinated project deliverables.
• Provide expert technical advice and ensure design analyses meet client, SMEC and Australian standards.
• Apply project management skills to achieve deliverables on schedule and to required standards.
• Contribute to the commercial success of projects and support business development activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Engineering (Civil Engineering or related) degree.
• 5+ years experience in rail drainage design on transport infrastructure projects.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities in a multicultural, multidisciplinary environment.
• Proficiency with 12D and DRAINS software.
• Familiarity with Australian design standards.
