Engineering Support Specialist I

About the role

Join selinc as an Engineering Support Specialist I, providing testing, troubleshooting and service support for SEL products. You will work under guidance, communicate status updates, and travel extensively to meet customer and business needs.

Key responsibilities

• Perform basic testing, services, or troubleshooting of SEL products following defined procedures.
• Provide status updates to SEL staff and customers and communicate effectively with internal partners.
• Learn department processes and suggest improvements to documentation or work instructions.
• Support one of the Operation Team’s or R&D’s disciplines, such as Flowline product failures, Test Lab, or Lab Support.
• Travel up to 75% of the time to support customer and business requirements.

Required profile

• Two years of relevant experience.
• Ability to operate Windows and MS Office efficiently.
• Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment and pass a satisfactory background check.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Windows operating system.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience with computer‑controlled test equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, electronic schematics, and wiring diagrams.
