Engineer – Specials

About the role

Crown Equipment is looking for an organised Engineer to support the Sales Department by delivering special features and non‑standard options requested by customers. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will ensure compliance with Crown and Australian standards while developing new local option designs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop functional specifications for local special features, non‑standard options and modifications, ensuring alignment with internal and external standards.
• Support the sales configurator by providing costing and approval information, and manage costing approvals with manufacturers.
• Maintain ERP data to support the special‑feature process and generate status reports as required.
• Ensure all designs comply with Crown specifications, Australian standards and relevant regulations.

Required profile

• Competency in Unigraphics NX or a similar CAD system.
• Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical or Mechatronics).
• Design experience in the industrial/forklift truck industry or a related sector such as earth‑moving equipment.
• Knowledge of Australian standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Unigraphics NX (or equivalent CAD software).
• Strong understanding of Australian engineering standards.
