Endpoint Engineering Architect

About the role

The Endpoint Engineering Architect will lead the design, implementation and continuous improvement of desktop Standard Operating Environments for Datacom's customers, supporting their cloud‑first digital transformation journeys.

Key responsibilities

• Provide escalation support, mentoring and coaching to engineering teams.
• Design, deploy and maintain enterprise endpoint management solutions such as SCCM, Intune and JAMF.
• Configure and roll out Microsoft Windows operating systems using both traditional and modern management approaches.
• Manage core Microsoft infrastructure services including Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS, PKI, Print, File, Exchange and SharePoint.
• Implement endpoint security technologies like Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Symantec and CrowdStrike.
• Deliver VDI and DaaS solutions including Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Amazon Workspaces, Azure Virtual Desktop and Windows 365.
• Integrate supplementary tools such as Patch My PC, Aternity, Ivanti App Control and Airlock Digital.
• Support hybrid cloud environments on Azure and AWS and on‑premises platforms like vCenter and Hyper‑V.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of IT experience with recent experience in an Endpoint Architect role.
• Australian citizenship and ability to obtain Government Baseline security clearance.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently on competing priorities and collaboratively within a team.
